Description

Our Nilgiri loose leaf black tea Honest Everyday Nonsuch Estate BOP is a bright, easy-drinking Indian black tea with golden liquor, gentle floral fragrance and a clean, refreshing finish. Smooth, dependable and full of quiet character, it offers a lighter alternative to heavier breakfast teas — equally enjoyable first thing in the morning or as a satisfying mid-afternoon cup.

Nilgiri Loose Leaf Black Tea from Nonsuch Estate

Nonsuch Estate lies in the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu, near Ooty, in one of South India’s most distinctive tea-growing regions. This Broken Orange Pekoe selection is a wonderfully approachable single-estate black tea: fragrant, brisk and smooth, with enough character to feel special while remaining easy enough for everyday drinking.

It is exactly the kind of tea that earns a permanent place in the cupboard — honest, reliable and genuinely enjoyable cup after cup.

Bright, Floral and Refreshingly Smooth

In the cup, this Nilgiri loose leaf black tea brews to a clear, light golden liquor with a lively, refreshing character. The flavour is well rounded and lightly fragrant, with a delicate floral quality and a soft hint of orange blossom through the finish.

It is brisk without being sharp, smooth without feeling flat and noticeably lighter in style than a more malt-driven Assam or breakfast blend.

BOP Grade for a Quick, Flavourful Infusion

The BOP grade, or Broken Orange Pekoe, gives a quicker and more even infusion than a larger whole-leaf tea. That makes Nonsuch Estate BOP particularly useful for daily drinking, as it delivers flavour and clarity without needing elaborate preparation.

The smaller leaf style releases the Nilgiri tea’s bright, floral character beautifully, producing a cup that feels clean, lively and satisfying.

An Honest Everyday Black Tea

This tea is designed to be drunk often. It is dependable enough for the morning routine, yet distinctive enough to appreciate when you have a little more time.

Taken black, its floral brightness and clean finish show most clearly. With a modest splash of milk, it becomes slightly fuller and softer while retaining its fresh Nilgiri character.

How to Brew Honest Everyday Nilgiri BOP

Use freshly boiled water cooled slightly to around 95°C and add one teaspoon per cup. Steep for 3 to 4 minutes.

A 3-minute brew keeps the cup lighter and more floral. A 4-minute infusion brings out a little more body, particularly if you plan to add milk.

This tea is best enjoyed as a fresh single infusion.
