Yes I know this is a really dumb idea but stay with me...

Ok... Claire with the Pair is a duck with boobs! I made her the other month and had some incredible suggestions from my Instagram followers for a name for her - the top rated one was Claire, but you might have been instead looking at a Bjork with the Norks? Or a Mistki with the Ti... anyway... Claire is a handmade ceramic duck with a passion for swimsuit season. The perfect companion for the female role model in your life, or one for your own wardrobe.

Claire with the Pair is an entirely handmade ceramic duck from start to finish, wheel-thrown in a white stoneware clay with added ducky features A painted red bikini bra and orange beak and feetsies. They are then underglazed, biscuit fired, transparent glazed and then kiln fired again to 1240'c. A process of about a fortnight!

I did a lot of focus testing with this one, more than I've ever done before, and tested the water a lot with my female presenting friends. Whereas none of them found the idea anything other than a silly bit of fun, I am of course aware of my position as a male artist and wanted to reconfirm that this duck is made with the same ambition of all my others - something silly to make you smile. I hope this intention isn't ever taken the wrong way!
